Our actions’ effectiveness can only be measured against what the world would have been otherwise.  So before one considers acting on the world, to change its state, one should first consider where its current state will lead.  This is a strange concept because the world’s current state is one full of billions of actors all also trying to change its state.  Nevertheless, the task is understandable and important, even if it is functionally impossible.  In this post, we attempt to predict what will happen to the world in the coming years, whether these outcomes are desirable, and what could be done to stop them.
